Pierce Transit Routes were overlayed on a Peirce County Basemap and clipped to only display sections of bus routes within Pierce County

Flood Hazard Zones were also imported to the feature data set, though they were not included in the final map to simplify the depiction.

Intersect analysis was run on flood hazard areas and existing transit routes. The resulting data was joined to the existing transit route layer for further analysis.

The percentage of each route in known flood hazard zones was calculated through the following formula:

Some routes were completely unaffected by flood hazard zones

To eliminate NULL values from the attribute table, a python script assigned 0 values to any routes unaffected by flood hazards
